2. Citymapper
For those of you who live in London, Citymapper can be a lifesaver for when you need to get quickly from A to B. You can also use it on holiday in certain major cities across the world. It has real-time transport information and even tells you how many calories you burn if you walk instead!
3. Hootsuite
While a strong social media presence is important for most businesses, it can be time-consuming to keep all platforms constantly updated. Hootsuite allows you to manage all of your accounts in one place and automatically schedules tweets and posts for you.
4. Hipchat
While email is an essential tool too, in a busy office a quick instant message can be much more practical for receiving a quick answer and getting things done. The speed and ease of use helps keep projects moving and productivity high.
5. Lastpass
Lastpass saves all of your passwords in one place so you don’t have to worry about remembering them yourself. You can use it for personal accounts or create a communal work account so everyone who needs to can access important information anywhere, any time.
6. Google Docs
Never worry about forgetting to save a document again with cloud-based Google Docs. It has pretty much all of the functionality of Microsoft Office but makes sharing much easier and, as it’s cloud-based, there’s no need to panic if your computer crashes.
7. Uber
While there has been some controversy around this app, if you’re looking for a taxi in a hurry, Uber is convenient and cheap. As you pay for every journey securely through the app, you don’t need to worry about carrying enough cash. You can also rate drivers to ensure a high level of passenger safety is maintained.
8. Just Eat
If you’re working late at the office with your team, or just fancy having a group lunch, Just Eat makes it easy to order a wide range of foods all from one simple app, putting an end to searching through dozens of sites or rummaging through drawers full of old menus.
9. Evernote
Evernote is a beautifully designed place for you to collect inspiration, ideas and links you want to come back to. It’s easy to collaborate between teams and create separate spaces for different projects. There’s even a version especially for businesses.
10. Whatsapp
Whatsapp is a handy free messenger service that can be used across different mobile devices, as opposed to systems such as iMessage which is only useful for those who own an Apple device. You can also create groups to include the whole team and share images, videos, and voice messages.
11. Google Analytics
If you want to quickly and easily track your website’s success and rankings, Google Analytics is essential. Monitor your traffic and keep an eye on how potential customers discover your business, as well as tracking your most popular pages and posts — they might not be the ones you think!
12. Post-it Plus
Post-its have become virtual! The famous manufacturer of sticky notes is now online too. If you’ve had an inspiring brainstorming session, keep the momentum going with this app which allows you to combine, structure and formulate ideas so they’re easy to share and develop.
13. Eternity Time Log
If you get to the end of every day wondering where the time went, Eternity Time Log can help you get organised. Track where you spend your time throughout the day and make changes to stop you procrastinating. It also helps to make sure you’re keeping a healthy balance between work and leisure time.
